Hugo Salazar
Hugo Salazar is currently the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach for Baskonia Basketball and is responsible for players’ athletic performance. Before taking over Baskonia’s main team in 2020-21 season, Hugo was for 4 years physical performance coordinator in Baskonia youth. Prior to that, he served as a strength coach in female basketball club Araski that competed in First Spanish Division. In 2018 Hugo joined male basketball Basque Country national team under the role of a strength & conditioning coach, and this is his role ever since.
In formal education, Hugo earned a PhD in Sport Science from the Faculty of Education and Sport at the University of Basque Country (Vitoria-Gasteiz) what gave him an opportunity for lecturing in various Sport science programs in Spain. In addition, coach Salazar holds a Master’s Degree in Sport science research and in High performance in team sports.
Caterina Todeschini
Caterina Todeschini is currently strength and conditioning coach of Famila Basket Schio, where she came in 2016. The FBS is an Italian female team participating in Women Euroleague. She joined Italian Female National Youth Teams in 2008 and was a S&C coach of Italian Female Senior Team.
Caterina is a board member of APFIP (Associazione Preparatori Fisici Italiani Pallacanestro), and national teacher for Italian Basketball Federation for S&C coaches. She holds a master degree in Sport Science and a Degree in Psychological Sciences.
Regev Fanan
Regev “Reggie” Fanan is the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach of the legendary Maccabi Tel Aviv Basketball Club since 2015. Before he was named head strength coach, he was an assistant at Tel Aviv for three years and part of the team that won the 2014 Euroleague trophy. Apart from Maccabi, Reggie has worked as head strength and conditioning at the Israeli Women National Team and personally trains elite basketball and soccer players that seek to maximize their athletic potential.
Fanan is a graduate of Zinman school for coaches and the Wingate Institute with a specialization of strength and conditioning for basketball and soccer. He also attended the Tel Aviv University School for Coaches studying weight training. Reggie’s extensive experience in basketball includes him being a professional basketball player for eight years, again in his beloved Maccabi, when he has won three Euroleague titles.
Matteo Panichi
Matteo Panichi is a former professional basketball player with a 17-year career. He has played for major Italian pro teams like Scavolini Pesaro, Varese, Virtus Bologna and Rimini.
He earned his master’s degree in Motor Activity Sciences and Techniques, and he is a holder of the national certificates for basketball coaching and basketball strength & conditioning.
In the fall of 2022, Matteo is entering his second season as the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach for Segafredo Virtus Bologna. Prior to this experience, he has served as performance specialist in Armani Exchange Olimpia Milano, Sutor Montegranaro and Vanoli Cremona.
Matteo has been a part of various Italian national teams (men, women, youth) for almost a decade, where he currently has a role of the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach.
Besides coaching, Matteo devotes his time in lecturing and mentoring young S&C in the field. He also serves as vice-president of the APFIP – the Italian Strength and Conditioning Coaches’ Association.
Yannis Irid
Yannis Irid is the Head of the Sport Science Department and Strength & Conditioning Coach for the French Basketball Federation. He is currently completing his PhD, focusing on Load Monitoring, Performance Profiling, and Talent Identification in Elite Basketball.
Yannis has worked with the youth national teams, professional athletes, and leading sports performance organizations such as P3. His expertise combines biomechanics, data analysis, and applied sports science to enhance athlete performance.
Francesco Dimundo
Francesco is the president and founder of ITASCS. He is graduated in Sports Science from the University of Foggia (Italy), studied one year at the Universidad de Valencia (Spain), obtained his MSc in Strength and Conditioning from the University of Edinburgh (Scotland) and has successfully completed the PhD in Talent Identification and Development in Professional Rugby Union at Birmingham City University (England).
He is a professional strength and conditioning coach with over ten years of experience in high performance sports training in disciplines such as Olympic taekwondo, boxing, soccer, rugby, track and field, volleyball and Olympic weightlifting. He began his career in sports science after completing 15 years as a taekwondo athlete competing at various regional, national and international levels.
Alongside his practical experience in the sector, Francesco has worked for both Italian and English universities, where he has taught as a lecturer, contributed to several publications and held senior positions as Head Performance Coach.
Marcus Lindner
Marcus Lindner is a highly experienced Performance Coach, with a career in elite basketball spanning over two decades.
From 2021 to 2025, he served as the Head of Physical Performance at HAKRO Merlins Crailsheim, where he played a pivotal role in enhancing the team’s physical conditioning and performance. Prior to that, he held the same positions at FC Bayern München Basketball from 2020 to 2021and from 2015 to 2020, he worked with BC Unics Kazan, focusing on optimizing player performance through tailored training programs. Currently, he holds the position of Head Strength & Conditioning coach at RASTA Vechta, bringing his extensive knowledge and innovative training methods to the team.
His journey also includes a tenure with the German Basketball National Team from 2009 to 2015, where he was instrumental in preparing athletes for international competitions. Additionally, he had the privilege of working with Brose Baskets Bamberg from 2010 to 2015 and Köln 99ers from 2007 to 2010, further solidifying his reputation as a dedicated and skilled performance coach.
Nikola Vujcic
Nikola Vujcic’s journey at Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv began in 2002, a year after he led Villerban to win the French league championship. Immediately upon his arrival, the Croatian center’s level of play and contribution to the team stood out as he finished his first season in yellow with averages of almost 18 points and seven rebounds per game.
Vujcic reached his peak playing in arguably the best team Maccabi ever had. Between 2003 and 2005, Alongside Anthony Parker, Sarunas Jasikevicius, and more, he won two consecutive European championships – the only time this happened in the club’s history.
Vujcic was also the first player in Euroleague history to record a triple-double and did it twice: in 2005 against Procom Gdynia with 11 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists, and in 2006 against Olimpia Ljubljana with 27 points, ten rebounds, and ten assists.
The Croatian went on to win 5 Israeli championships in a row before also playing for Olympiakos, Efes Pilsen, and Split. He founded a youth basketball academy and then returned to Maccabi. Initially, he served as a team manager, and from 2013/14 – a season that ended with the Euroleague title – he began his role as the club’s sports director. A position he still holds these days.

Teena Murray
DODC (c), MS, RSCC, CSCS, CPSS*
Teena Murray is a pioneering leader in high-performance sport, recognized for her innovative transdisciplinary approach that integrates medical, performance, well-being, player development, and coaching to optimize athlete-centered care.
With over 25 years of experience across collegiate, professional, and international levels, Teena has consistently driven transformative results through data analytics, organizational psychology, and a commitment to wise, compassionate leadership.
Her impact is evident in her front-office roles in the NHL as the Senior Vice President of Integrated Performance with the Pittsburgh Penguins and in the NBA as the Vice President of Health & Performance for the Sacramento Kings.
Previously, as the Director of High Performance at the University of Louisville, she established the NCAA’s first performance analytics division in collaboration with CATAPULT, implementing player tracking infrastructure across more than a dozen sports and significantly improving player availability.
During her tenure at Louisville, she also formed a Research & Development Taskforce connecting athletics, academics, and corporate partners to drive innovation and helped launch a master’s program in strength and conditioning as an adjunct lecturer.
Teena’s influence extends to the international stage, where she served as the performance director for the U.S. Women’s Hockey Team (2006-2010), culminating in an Olympic silver medal at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. She has also consulted for numerous organizations, including the Hartford Wolfpack (AHL), the Florida Panthers (NHL), the Anaheim Ducks, the International Ice Hockey Federation, and the Turkish Basketball Federation.
A passionate advocate for research and education, Teena has co-authored over a dozen peer-reviewed publications, contributed to multiple book chapters, and currently teaches a graduate course in High-Performance Leadership for Boise State University. Teena holds advanced degrees in sports physiology and education, a graduate certificate in Executive Leadership, and has recently completed an Inner MBA. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Organization Development & Change.
Today, Teena leads The High-Performance Project, a new division of The PICTOR Group, where she continues to advance performance optimization systems & strategies.
Andy Barr
DPT, MSc, BSc, CSCS
Dr. Andy Barr DPT is an established leader in the field of high-performance sport with over 25 years of experience working with elite professional sports teams and athletes. He is the inventor of the Q-bands system, a versatile resistance training tool and the founder of Quantum Performance, a sports medical and performance consultancy company, specializing in rehab, sports science, biomechanical analysis and utilizing state-of-the-art modalities to deliver data-driven insights that help athletes reduce injury risk and maximize performance.
A native of the UK, he started his career as a professional football (soccer) player with Luton Town F.C. but his career was cut short by injury. Driven by his passion to help other athletes avoid injury and maximize their potential, he studied for a physiotherapy degree. In 2001, he began his medical career at Bolton Wanderers F.C. as the 1st team physiotherapist in one of the most pioneering sports science and medical interdisciplinary teams in the world. He played an integral part in the most successful team in the Bolton Wanderers’ history, achieving established Premier League status and consistently competing in European football.
Subsequently, Andy held roles with Southampton F.C. and Manchester City F.C. as the Head of Sports Medicine and Head Physio. In 2009, he was head hunted by the New York Knicks to serve the organization in an injury prevention and performance role. He was promoted to Director of Performance and Rehabilitation and was an integral part of the Knicks’ success in 2013 when the team captured the NBA’s Atlantic Division title, the most successful season for the Knicks in over 25 years. Andy also set up the Medical and Performance Department for New York City Football Club in the MLS and served as the Director of Medicine and Performance during their inaugural season.
After many years in a team environment, he decided he could have a greater impact in the health of more athletes by going out on his own and having the freedom to work with athletes from different teams and sports. Through his company Quantum Performance, he works with athletes and teams from the NBA, NFL, EPL, UEFA, MLS, PGA and Olympics. Athletes travel to his high-performance facility in LA for off-season work, biomechanical testing or for injury rehabilitation. He also travels to athletes and teams when needed. Recently, he consulted with the Brooklyn Nets and brought Kevin Durant back to his best after his achilles tendon injury.
Andy has also recently consulted with Chelsea FC (men and women’s teams) and is currently helping MSG sports teams (NY Knicks + Rangers), US women’s soccer and running a software company called Quantum Movement (quantmove.com) that specializes in return to play testing using motion capture sensors and cameras and is an integral part of his assessment process. Andy also provides educational courses on injury risk reduction and athletic performance development to sports practitioners and organizations around the world. Adrian Ariza Medina
Adrián Ariza Medina, born in Barcelona, is the Director of the Performance and Medical Department at Paris Basketball. Since joining the club for the 2023–24 season, he has been responsible for building and leading an integrated performance system. He was part of the team that won the EuroCup Championship, securing Paris Basketball’s first-ever title and a historic ticket to the EuroLeague.
Prior to his time in Paris, Adrián worked as a Strength & Conditioning Coach at Telekom Baskets Bonn (Germany), where he contributed to the team’s historic Basketball Champions League title. He also spent several years at Alba Fehérvár (Hungary), and earlier in his career, coached different teams at his hometown club in Esparreguera.
Adrián was a basketball player himself, having grown up in the youth system of FC Barcelona and lived at the renowned La Masia, where he developed the foundation of his values, discipline, and understanding of high-performance environments. His background also includes a unique chapter as a Boccia coach for the Spanish Paralympic Team during the London–Rio Olympic cycle.
He holds a Master’s Degree in High Performance in Team Sports and another in Secondary Education, specializing in Physical Education.
His journey reflects a deep commitment to learning, teaching, and human connection; creating environments where athletes can grow, adapt, and perform at their best. His work bridges performance and education, combining structure with purpose to help both individuals and teams reach their full potential.
